Pablo on Wheels and a long night of drinking

New York

I took my 2nd trip to New York to work on two films with my buddy Brett, and actually take in some sites this time.  My last trip there was to shoot the trailer for Blood Run Free.  We’re still looking for a investors...  This time Brett started an IndieGoGo campaign to raise money to shoot.  He started his career making skateboard movies, but Pablo On Wheels is not just a skateboard movie.  These are some talented kids.  Here is the official teaser.

Meanwhile, I tried my hand at writing a short film of my own.  Since I was going to NY to work on Pablo I figured why not make the most of all this film equipment?  The current title is Leaving which I’m not completely happy with.  It’s about a couple and a long-time friend (played by yours truly) getting together before the girlfriend goes off to school.  A lot of wine is consumed in the film, so a lot of wine was consumed on the shoot.  Art imitates life, right?  It made for some pretty sloppy takes, but it fits the awkwardness of the story perfectly.
